About Continuum
Continuum is an unbiased land-use and risk assessment scale to evaluate agrivoltaic potential that is consistent among users. The four foundational pillars interact and affect overall site land-use potential. Continuum provides information for developers, designers and O&M to improve land management decisions throughout a solar facility lifecycle. Why Continuum Sciences?
At it’s core, Continuum is structured around four foundational pillars:
FIRE RISK
Identifies site-specific fire risk potential. Incorporates site vegetation, local climate and infrastructure to predict the likelihood of fires.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Assesses the solar facilities mechanical infrastructure —including roads, fences, and solar equipment; evaluates how infrastructure impacts agrivoltaics.
BIOTIC FACTORS
The biotic pillar focuses on soil and vegetation. It determines the suitability of a site for grazing, row crops, forage production, pollinators, or ecosystem services.
